Letasoft Sound Booster could not have a more descriptive name as all this tool does is raise the sound volume of your system.
The program is extremely easy to use: it can be set to start along with the system and remain available at the System Tray from where you can move the volume slider to the desired boost percentage. In addition, it supports using hotkeys for this same operation and, fortunately, these can be customized to your preferences.
However, so much simplicity takes its toll, which means that you cannot adjust the sound volume for specific programs. So, depending on the level of the source, it is likely that you will need to readjust the volume quite frequently. Another drawback is that pushing your speakers to the limits may damage them or affect the quality of the sound output.
All in all, although there is not much to say about this tool, its usefulness cannot be denied. It is both straightforward and effective. The product is shareware, and it will work without any restrictions for the first 14 days after its installation.

Okay so...i find it hard to hear people on the phone, Xbox games console and pc, I've grown up 29 years of my life with 60% hearing loss, with the struggle of hearing it at a 'normal' sound, thought id try download an app that boosts the volume, and this was the first one I saw, so benefit of doubt i thought what have i got to loose, well let me get to the point...... as soon as i opened it i heard an automatic boost in the volume, i heard 'normal' music and i smiled!!
